Folding systems open almost the entire width. With sliding systems the sashes stack, so part of the opening stays glazed.
Insulation
Lift-and-slide systems press the sashes onto the gaskets when closing, giving high insulation.
Ease of use
Sliding systems open in one movement; folding systems require folding the sashes one by one.
